One thing that all people definitely have in common, other than that we are all sinners, is that we have problems in life.  They come in all shapes, sizes, and forms but they come.  Sinful lifestyles might be the cause or you might just be dealing with issues that are out of your control.  Whatever the case may be Jesus Christ is the answer.  "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly," Jesus says in John 10:10.  The abundant life means so much more than the things you are blessed with on the external it also has to do with the deliverance, freedom, and healing on the internal.  

God has put a call on my life to help those who are in need of recovery.  Recovery from what?  Anything!!  Celebrate Recovery has been a recognized ministry for over 17 years.  Harvest Evangelism has started a Celebrate Recovery and Pastor Rick has appointed me to oversee the program.  I am very excited to have an opportunity to serve the Lord, our community, and Harvest Evangelism in a deeper way.

Celebrate Recovery is designed to help people deal with and hurts, habits, or hang ups that they might have.  It is a Christ centered program with the curriculum being all scriptural based and saturated.  You might be addicted to drugs or you might be dealing with loneliness, whatever the case may be Celebrate Recovery is designed to help you breakthrough and gain healing through the power of Jesus Christ.  Also if you are a family member dealing with someone that is in need of recovery this program is for you as well.  We will meet on Friday nights every week at Community Fellowship Church on Hwy 280W in Auburn, AL and our schedule looks like this:

            6:00- 7:00 pm        Fellowship and Food
            7:00- 8:00 pm        Large Group Gathering
            8:00- 9:00 pm        Small Group Gathering

There will always be a meal provided free of charge.  The large group gathering will be a time of prayer, praise, worship, teaching, and testimonies.  The small group gatherings will be a time where gender specific groups will meet to discuss the topics surrounding the lesson we are going through that week.  The small groups are a vital part to the recovery process.  This is where the opportunity to talk, confess, and get healing comes in.  Remember James 5:16, "Confess your trespasses to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed."  Celebrate Recovery is not just another meeting but it is an opportunity for you to be honest with yourself and God and to deal with the issues of life that have been haunting, hurting, and hindering you.
