| His Place |
His Place was founded in 1986 by Rev. Rick Hagans as a place of restoration for men 18 years and older who have a life-controlling problem such as drug abuse, alcohol abuse, etc.
The program is one year of intensive Bible-based teaching on Christian manhood, family responsiblity, financial concepts, work ethic, skill development and the understanding of authority and discipline. This is accomplished in an environment of love.
His Place is for men who have a sincere desire to receive the Biblical solution for their problems and are willing to do whatever is necessary to be free of the addictions that control them. We teach our men to live the abundant life and, even more importantly, give them living examples of men who are doing it.
Our goal is to assist the resident in establishing integrity with God, his family, his fellow man and himself. Ultimately, we desire to lead every man who comes into our program to salvation and a personal relatioship with Jesus.
Our facility is in East Central Alabama in the city of Opelika. At this locations, we can accommodate
fifteen men, three per bedroom. There is a modern commercial kitchen, dining room, living room, TV room, classroom,
and laundry in the building. We also have a thrift store at this location.
We do not have the capability to be a mental facility, health program, nursing home or rest home. Because there is no homeless shelter in Lee County, we do, however, offer emergency temporary shelter in cases of extreme need.
